  • Center for International Earth Science Network - CIESIN works at the intersection of the social, natural, and information sciences, and specializes in on-line data and information management, spatial data integration and training, and interdisciplinary research related to human interactions in the environment.
  • Geo-Guide - an Internet-based subject gateway to scholarly relevant information in earth science, geography and mining.
  • Geophysical Data Center - "NOAA's National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC) provides scientific stewardship, products, and services for geophysical data from the Sun to the Earth and Earth's sea floor and solid earth environment, including Earth observations from space."
  • National Climatic Data Center - One of the world's largest archive of weather data with numerous publications.
  • National Oceanographic Data Center - "The NODC is a national repository and dissemination facility for global oceanographic data which acquires and preserves a historical record of the Earth's changing environment to be used for operational applications and ocean climate research."
  • U.S. Geological Survey - Federal source for science about the Earth, its natural and living resources, natural hazards, and the environment.
