STUDENT CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY

The Student Chapter of the American Chemical Society (SCACS) at Wayland Baptist University exists to provide professional development and community service opportunities to our student members.  We are a very active student organization that has (among other activities) attended national and local ACS meetings, hosted a South Plains Sectional meeting, and provided numerous on campus and off campus hands-on chemistry experiences for elementary and home school students.  In addition to these activities we also organize the annual "Chemistry Cookout" to honor our graduating chemistry majors.

Our organization is truly student-led and officers are elected each January for one year terms.  Anyone interested in a career in chemistry or chemistry-related disciplines are encouraged to join our organization and participate in our professional, social, and service activities.
