The School of Mathematics and Sciences at Wayland Baptist University invites submissions from Wayland undergraduate students majoring in math or science for the 5th Annual - Spring Research Day. The program will be from 1 PM- 5 PM, Friday, April 25, 2014. Students are encouraged to submit an abstract for an oral presentation or poster presentation. The submission deadline for abstracts is Friday, April 11, 2014.

The Student Research Conference will be held on the first floor of the Moody Science Building. The conference will conclude with a complimentary dinner for all participants, with an awards ceremony honoring top presentations. There will be cash awards for the Outstanding Talk and the Outstanding Poster, as decided by a panel of faculty judges. There will also be a students' choice award for each category. To be eligible for cash awards, students must submit a complete abstract by the submission deadline, attend the conference, and present a talk or a poster. There is no registration fee.

Call for Abstracts

Submit the application online and paste your abstract into the form. Abstracts should be less than 250 words. Posters have a maximum size of 4' by 4'.  Every effort will be made to provide a presentation time for each qualified abstract, but there are a limited number of slots in the schedule. If your abstract is accepted for a submitted presentation, you will be contacted with further instructions, including the time of your oral presentation or the location for your poster presentation.  For any questions, please contact Drs.
