Dr. Thornhill recently joined the faculty at Wayland as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics. He obtained a B.S. in mathematics and in education and an M.A. in mathematics from the University of Missouri, and he received his Ph.D. in mathematics from Indiana University. His research interests lie in field theory and other areas of algebra.
