Prospective students on Active Duty, National Guard or Reserve Military duty status
U.S. Air Force: Bring individual education records to the academic evaluation appointment. Within the education folder should be a copy of a Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) transcript or CCAF progress report. Also bring copies of transcripts from any community college, junior college, vocational school, college and/or university attended, and copies of CLEP/DANTES score reports. Finally, if applicable bring copies of Enlisted Performance Reports (EPRs) that total at least 48 months.
U.S. Army: Begin with a visit with an education center counselor who will assist in acquiring the military documents required for an academic evaluation. Soldiers who entered active duty after 1 October l981, an Army/ ACE Registry Transcript (AARTS) is requested. For soldiers, who entered active service before 1 October l981, should request a DD Form 295 prepared by the installation local MILPO. Also bring copies of transcripts from any community college, junior college, vocational school, college and/or university attended. If applicable, bring copies of Non-commissioned Officer Efficiency Report (NCOERs) that total at least 48 months of evaluations.
All other military services: For service members in the Navy or U.S. Marines, attempt to secure a copy of SMART (Sailor/Marine ACE Transcript). If no SMART is available, bring a DD Form 295, Learning Experiences during Military Service for military work experience evaluations.
Active Duty National Guard or Reserves Service Member: For evaluation, the DD Form 295 Learning Experiences During Military Service, records of formal training, or applicable military service transcript is used for the academic evaluation of guard and reserve service members. Guard or Reserve service members should see their unit education officer for assistance. If applicable, bring copies of service performance evaluation that total at least 48 months.
Prospective students who are Former or Retired Service Members:
Individuals, who have served on active, reserve, or national guard duty, and were discharged or retired, are issued a DD From 214, Certificate of Discharge. This certificate of discharge is used to assess military training for college level credits. Also, bring previous military reports that total at least 48 months.
Military Tuition Assistance (TA) and USAF Spouse Tuition Assistance (STA):
Any tuition assistance (TA) or financial aid a student receives, that can be confirmed, will be deducted from the total tuition owed. The student may then pay all of the remaining balance due. Students must pay their prior account balance in full prior to registering for the next term. There is no interest accrued to the unpaid balance provided that the balance is paid prior to the next scheduled term. A payment table is provided below for students using military tuition assistance. Chart is based on 2007-8 tuition at $185.00 per credit hour undergraduate. Please be sure to add the science or computer lab fee as listed below. Tuition for graduate students is $265.00 per credit hour for on-site courses and $300.00 per credit hour for virtual campus courses. Approve AF FORM 1227-E must be submitted before registering..
