Craig Clayton

Background/Expertise: BA, Washington State University; BS, University of Utah; MAIA, Webster University. Air Force Meteorologist for 30 years: Chief Meteorologist for United States Special Operations Command & U.S. European Command; Air Force Deputy Director of Weather. Wayland-Anchorage Campus since November 2005.

Academic interest/specialization: Meteorology and International Relations.

Personal Statement: My life goal is to glorify God, “…grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”, and to fulfill His purpose for my life, including serving our Wayland students. It is a privilege to present God’s marvelous creation and intelligent design of the Earth’s atmosphere in the classroom. My wife and I love living in the “Greatland” and working for Wayland.

Other Interests/hobbies: Bible study, hiking/climbing, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, soccer (playing & refereeing), military history, classical music, and travel.

Family: wife (Carol Lee, WBU Parkside receptionist), son (Daniel, AF A-10 pilot), and daughter-in-law (Erica, University of Hawaii English Professor)
