Marcia Million, Parkside Site Coordinator

Marcia Million

Background: I was born and raised on a farm near Williamsburg, Virginia, earned a BS degree in Horticulture from Virginia Tech, and managed a Greenhouse Operation / Produce Business for six years.

I spent a month in Norway studying with master painters (Rosemaling), and developed my own small business painting and designing custom pieces for local clientele.

I met and married Steve in 1984 and the Air Force moved us to Alaska with our four children In 1991. He retired from the military here, and we have not found a place where we would rather live.

I began at Wayland as a file clerk in the Fall of 1995, worked as Administrative Assistant for 10 years and now am the Site coordinator for the Parkside campus in Anchorage.

Personal Statement: I try to live my life dedicated to the Lord. And grateful that He has blessed me with a Christian Family and a beautiful place to live. He paints a new and ever-changing landscape everyday for me to view as I look out my windows.

Hobbies & Interests: I enjoy being in Alaska, Worshipping the Lord with Singing, Arts and Crafts, Beading, Painting, and being with my family.
