The Evaluator is responsible for representing WBU to all the University’s public in a positive manner. 


1.  Evaluating student files for the external campuses.

2.  Making official degree plans for each student.

3.  Maintenance of the students’ folder of all acceptable transfer and resident course work.

4.  Communicating with the campus personnel by telephone, e-mail, and hard copy to assure that students move toward graduation.

5.  Updating student’s files periodically so counselors can relate what is needed for completion of the degree.

QUALIFICATIONS: A commitment of Christian Higher education and in agreement with the purposes and philosophy of Christian higher education as promoted by the Baptist General Convention of Texas in general and Wayland Baptist University in particular.
Education, Certification and Licence:

Bachelor’s Degree or minimum senior status and working toward degree.

Experience & Knowledge:

Two (2) years of progressive office or related experience is preferred.


Skills & Abilities:

1.  Excellent computer competencies are required.

2.  Excellent organizational skills.

3.  Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

4.  Appearance, attitude, and promptness in reporting for work each day.

5.  Ability to respond, in a timely and effective manner to assignments.

6.  A positive attitude in the office and toward fellow workers, punctuality, dependability, integrity and loyalty in the performance of duties of the position are a necessity.

7.  Personality fit with campuses and departmental group with whom this position interacts on a daily basis is crucial.

Additional Requirements:

Must have no delinquent or defaulted items on Credit Report.  A credit check will be conducted to insure the requirement is met.
