RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Site Coordinator oversees all academic, administrative personnel, and fiscal operations related to the teaching site.

SPECIFIC TASKS
AND DUTIES:

1. Oversees daily operations at the respective campus location.

2. Works with Executive Director/Campus Dean in developing an annual budget for the site.

3. For the Ft. Richardson Site, the Site Coordinator oversees and works with GoArmyEd & CTAM and coordinates as needed with Elmendorf AFB under the Joint Base Elmendorf-Ft. Richardson (JBER) construct.

4. Liaison with respective Education Service Officers or equivalent relevant to the teaching site.

5. Supervises the academic and administrative staff on site.

6. Schedules employees’ work hours.

7. Oversees academic advising for the site.

8. Oversees publicity and promotion of WBU’s program relevant to the teaching site.

9. Establishes and maintains an open line of communication while ensuring an appropriate exchange with academic and administrative offices at the Plainview Campus.

10. Assists with and participate in graduation ceremonies held twice annually at the Parkside (Anchorage) location and annually at FRA.

11. Provides oversight for support of faculty who are teaching on site.

12. Coordinates classrooms with the Education Office if applicable.

13. Recruits students at military and school fairs.

14. Produces results in a dynamic work environment.

15. Formulates or implements policies in support of operations at the location.

16. Conducts major assignments assigned by the Assistant or Executive Director/Campus Dean.

17. Provides expert advice to the Assistant and Campus Dean and to Administration related to the location.

18. Resolves problems as they arise, or recommends solutions and provides assistance with problem resolutions as needed.

19. Attends Eagle River Chamber of Commerce monthly (lunch) meetings when work schedule allows, (represent Christ and Wayland Baptist University as a member of the Chamber).

QUALIFICATIONS: A commitment of Christian Higher education and in agreement with the purposes and philosophy of Christian higher education as promoted by the Baptist General Convention of Texas in general and Wayland Baptist University in particular.
Education, Certification and Licence:

1.  Master’s Degree in ­business, counseling, education, or related field is preferred.

2.  Bachelor Degree required.

Experience & Knowledge:

1. Previous experience as an academic advisor at Wayland Baptist University or comparable institution.

2. Administrative experience in a customer service setting.

3. Experience working with GoArmyEd, VA, GI Bill, Financial Aid, MyCAA etc.

Skills & Abilities:

1.  Must possess excellent customer service skills.

2.  Possesses strong administrative skills.

3.  Ability to juggle multiple tasks is essential.

4.  Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the university is a must. 

5.  Must possess good PC skills and experience in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Access,  and PowerPoint.

6.  Communication skills -Must possess good verbal and written skills as well as good listening skills.

7.  Organizational skills - Must be detail-oriented and have good organizational skills.

8.  Ability to understand and interpret personnel policies and procedures.

9.  Ability to prioritize; is flexible; and is available to work extended hours as needed.

10.  Ability to follow directions and work cooperatively with others.

Additional Requirements:

Must have no delinquent or defaulted Student Loans.  A credit check may be conducted to insure the requirement is met.
