RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Evaluator is responsible for representing WBU to all the University’s public in a positive manner. 

SPECIFIC TASKS
AND DUTIES:

1.  Evaluating student files for the Plainview and external campuses on students pursuing degrees other than AAS, BAS, BSOE or BCM.

2.  Making official degree plans for each student in particular transfer, freshman and sophomores.

3.  Maintenance of the students’ folder of all acceptable transfer and resident course work.

4.  Communicating with the advisors to assure that students move toward graduation.

5.  Updating degree plan for and meeting with Plainview students upon request for degree plan appointments.

6.  Completing semi-annual updates of all external and Plainview files (for students pursuing degrees other than AAS, BAS, BSOE or BCM).

7.  Assisting with all registrations.  Includes face-to-face interaction during Plainview registrations, as well as monitoring placement holds for external students.

8.  Assisting with graduation ceremonies.

9.  Respond to directives of the Registrar.

QUALIFICATIONS: A commitment of Christian Higher education and in agreement with the purposes and philosophy of Christian higher education as promoted by the Baptist General Convention of Texas in general and Wayland Baptist University in particular.
Education, Certification and Licence:

Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Experience & Knowledge:

Two (2) years of progressive office or related experience is preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

1.  Excellent computer competencies are required.

2.  Excellent organizational skills.

3.  Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

4.  Appearance, attitude, and promptness in reporting for work each day.

5.  Ability to respond, in a timely and effective manner to assignments.

6.  A positive attitude in the office and toward fellow workers, punctuality, dependability, integrity and loyalty in the performance of duties of the position are a necessity.

Additional Requirements:

Must have no delinquent or defaulted Student Loans.  A credit check may be conducted to insure the requirement is met.
