Wayland Baptist University's men's basketball program will host the 2nd Annual Pioneer Cager Club Golf Tournament on August 3 at Plainview Country Club.

The event is a four-man scramble tournament with prizes for first, second and third places. Door prizes will be given away regularly as well.

The tournament begins at 8 a.m. that morning with registration, followed by tee-off at 9 a.m. Cost for participants is $45 per person, which includes cart and green fee (tax-deductible) and lunch. Participants also receive membership to the Pioneer Cager Club, which includes a season pass to Wayland Pioneer basketball games, a monthly newsletter and weekly e-mail updates on the program from Head Coach Todd Thurman.

Sponsorship packages are also available, ranging from a donation only to a donation and a season pass or a family pass.

Donations and proceeds from the tournament benefit the men's basketball program at Wayland.
