After 11 years of teaching at Wayland Baptist University, Dr. Niler Pyeatt should be pretty adept at writing exams for his students. But recently, a nine-month project came to fruition with the publishing of a book of exams for other students.
Pyeatt said the task came at the invitation of Longman, for whom he has done pre-publication textbook reviews in the past. After receiving proofs of the textbook, written by a team of authors, he set out to write test questions. He said the project took from the end of 2001 until August 2002. A printed copy of the text bank arrived at Wayland last week. A graduate of Eastern New Mexico University, Pyeatt also holds a master's degree and a PhD in history from Texas Tech University. He has taught American history for a total of 16 years at the college level. | ||
