ABOUT ME

Am currently teaching UNIV 1101 (Foundations of University Life) and GRAD 4101 (Exit Seminar) for the Wichita Falls Campus. I enjoy greeting the new students and teaching them about the university, and then I get to see the exiting students prior to graduation and hope to instill the desire for continuing their education with the WBU master’s programs we now have available.

I live with my 86-year old mother, and two very spoiled cats – Pita and Ugly. I have three wonderful grandchildren, and a son and daughter who have made me very proud of their accomplishments. Both are in public service, one as a Police Officer, the other as an RN at United Regional Healthcare Center.

I have been blessed with the opportunity to visit many countries abroad including Greece, Singapore and Cyprus, and lived three years in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I am truly interested in cultures from around the world, and perhaps can use my education in the future to help others who are not as fortunate as we are in the United States of America.

My job duties, (in addition to teaching the two classes), consist of Office Manager of the Call Field location in Wichita Falls, Texas where I assist the Academic Advisor and Director of Post Baccalaureate Teaching Certification program, Mrs. Lois Barnes. I am responsible for maintaining classroom and office equipment, assisting students with registration, and proctoring of examinations.
