MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (M.B.A.)

The School of Business offers also the Master of Business Administration degree. A student may select a specialization in Accounting, General Business, Health Care Administration, Human Resource Management, International Management, Management, Management Information Systems, or Project Management. Completion of the M.B.A. degree requirements prepares the individual for progressively challenging and rewarding careers in business, industry, government, and the health field. Objectives of the M.B.A. program:
1. To provide the theory, principles, and knowledge required for effective management
in today's dynamic environment.
2. To develop techniques for basing decision and action on careful analyses of
pertinent data.
3. To develop a philosophy of responsible leadership and an appreciation of
business ethics.

The M.B.A. program consists of forty-eight (48) semester hours of core and specialization courses. Up to three Foundation courses may be credited for applicants who have academic background in business disciplines. When a course is taken without having the specified prerequisite, equivalent additional hours will be added to the program. Graduate core courses cannot be taken directed study. Up to twelve (12) hours of graduate business course credit may be awarded toward the M.B.A. degree requirements for approved courses from another institution or from Intermediate and/or Senior Education Levels of the Military Services of the United States of America (official documentation of successful completion is required).
