Wayland to award diplomas during Dec. 14 ceremony
Wayland Baptist University will award degrees to approximately 50 students during the winter commencement ceremony planned for 2 p.m. on Dec. 14 in Harral Memorial Auditorium.
Dr. Claude Cone, executive director of the Baptist Convention of New Mexico, will be the commencement speaker. Chris Tucker, a graduating senior from Olton, will bring the student address.
Other graduates participating in the ceremony will be Carla Douglas Hardy of Breckenridge, Rebecca Matthews of Albany, Ore. and Jennifer Mastroberti of Borger.
Four individuals will be receiving graduate degrees during the ceremony. Linda Eversole of Plainview will receive a Master of Education degree in education administration. Patti Hauk of Gwynneville, Ind. will be awarded a Master of Education degree in science education. Nicole Jackson of Plainview will receive a Master of Education degree in reading. Marilyn Jennings, also of Plainview, will receive a Master of Science degree in multidisciplinary science.
