PLAINVIEW - Students with high academic standing were inducted into two national honor societies in ceremonies held Dec. 9 at Wayland Baptist University.
Membership in the Alpha Chi honor society is by invitation to juniors and seniors who are ranked in the top five percent of their class. New inductees to Alpha Chi included the following: Adam Gibbs of Canyon, Sandra Hancock of Plainview, Russ Wilson of Coleman, Lindsey King of Amarillo, Heather Hurt of Irving, Kaci Holcomb of Roswell, N.M., Jason Morgan of Plainview, Tyler Topper of Lockney, Maegan Dyer of Pampa, Andra French of Dalhart, Lissa Rusten of Borger, Billy Boone of Abilene, Kim Villanueva of Dalhart, Jennifer Harrison of Midland, Laura Gillaspie of Spearman, Amy Grisham of Plainview, Leann Knight of Jal, N.M., Sylvia Lomas of Sweetwater and Marta Turpin of Carrizo Springs.
Membership in Psi Chi psychology honor society is to highly ranked students either majoring or minoring in psychology.
